Our Therapists

Maria Serrao Britt, MS, MEd  Licensed Psychologist

My goal is to help you realize your gifts and abilities and to celebrate the life you have been given. While the difficult situations of the past can't be changed, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges you currently face. By applying balanced therapeutic approaches and techniques, together we will address all levels of your experience: psychologically, socially and spiritually. I will walk with you as you unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative thinking that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Whether you're looking for support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're ready to move in a new direction in your life, I am looking forward to working with you.

Alyssa Bray, Intern

I am a full time graduate student at Chestnut Hill College. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Penn State University. For the past year and a half, I have been pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Trauma Studies. It is my goal to become a Licensed Professional Counselor, and to open my own practice. I am currently completing my internship experience, and excited to be here throughout the next couple of semesters.

I believe you are ultimately in charge of the therapeutic process, where I act as a guide or facilitator in assisting you toward positive change. I also believe that your past, or early-life relationships, affect emotions and behaviors in the present. Therefore, my approach toward therapy is mainly psychodynamic, with the therapeutic relationship being a central concept. It is important for me to provide you with a safe environment in order to build a trusting therapeutic relationship, so that you are able to feel comfortable throughout the process.

I am looking forward to meeting you in the near future.
